PLANTZ CENTRAL HAS BECOME THE GO-TO FOR IRRIGATION AND HARD LANDSCAPING IN HOEDSPRUIT, LIMPOPO
We are based in the beautiful tourist town of Hoedspruit, nestled between the northern Drakensberg mountains to the west and the Kruger National Park to the east. Over the past 5 years we have established a reliable irrigation and hard landscaping reputation.
Plantz Central has also made a name for itself in rubberising, artificial turf, and the mini water park arena at local establishments.
We have had the pleasure of working with The Radisson Hotel Hoedspruit, Safari Moon Luxury Bush Lodge, Tanda Tula, Bosveld Village, and many private residences in our local community.
Our Story
Plantz Central has been creating high-quality gardens for more than 20 years.
Owner Karl Jaacks brings extensive experience in landscape design, installation, and site management, having worked in both corporate and domestic environments across various projects, running exclusive landscape sites including Montecasino, Emperor’s Palace, Gold Reef City, SilverStar Casino, and more.
After years of site management and landscape architecture Karl established Plantz Central, a niche service as a plant broker in the landscaping industry.
A plant broker specializes in the sourcing and supply high-quality plants. Acting as intermediaries between growers and consumers. We are skilled in sourcing indigenous and exotic plants as well as trees from a wide network of plant growers in the industry. We have been supplying high-quality plants for commercial gardens for the past 8 years.
Initially operating as a plant brokerage service in Johannesburg, Plantz Central has since expanded its offerings and transformed into a comprehensive landscape consultancy.
The company now provides services that include irrigation system design and installation, as well as hard landscaping, which encompasses features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
I like to focus on water-wise options. With ongoing water restrictions in place – there has been a keen focus on planting to avoid excessive consumption and maintenance costs” says Karl. “I’m very aware of our unique environment which influences how we design gardens in our wildlife haven, we prefer to plant indigenous flora and focus on plants that the wildlife won’t devour, which is definitely a challenge.” Karl adds “We don’t just focus our attention on the professionals and corporates – we extend our service offering bulk plants and consultancy services directly to consumers. We can guide keen gardening enthusiasts when choosing companion plants and general landscaping advice.
